Errantry is best described as a Medieval Rap Battle. The game is a combinatorial storytelling engine controlled through a Wiimote driven gestural interface. Players compete to tell the story of a knight's grandeur in the style of a Chanson de Geste or other Romantic epic. Success or failure is judged by the nobles of a medieval court, and their personal biases and reactions inform the story telling choices the players make.
You are the squire of an aging knight-- one who still hasn't quite made it to legendary status yet. He has charged you with traveling around a fictional Europe and telling tales of his renown in order to increase his fame. Should he become famous enough, he'll retire and you can take his place. The only catch is, a number of other knights have a similar plan, and you'll be competing against their squires to out-boast, out-jest, and out-tell your rivals. Entertain the courts of the land, you too may one day be a famous knight.
